The Lutheran High School Association of Greater Detroit own and operates Lutheran High Schools in Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, and Monroe Counties. These "faith based" secondary schools offer a top quality college prep academic program along with extensive athletic and co-curricular activities. "The heart of education at a LHS is the education of the heart" best summarizes the intentional focus on growing in faith and life. This means striving for servant leadership and living Christian values are the primary outcomes as Lutheran High Schools "Keep Faith With Our Youth."

To provide quality Christian Secondary Education striving for excellence.
To prepare Christian Young Men and Women for a value based life not only for here and now but for eternity.
To effectively teach and model the truths of Scripture in this post-secular area from creationism to pro-life to God’s plan for our sexuality via abstinence and avoidance of alternative life styles to personal responsibility for behavior, to our witness and care for the needs of others.

Object and Purpose (as stated in the constitution)

The object, aim, and purpose of this Association shall be:

To Foster Christian secondary education in harmony with the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions;
To establish, own, manage, and maintain schools for that purpose;
To offer a suitable curriculum which maintains proper accreditation with recognized church and state educational authorities.
