What are the benefits of being an Exchange Student?
Because we live in an international world, we feel it is important for young people, future leaders of the world, to be exposed to each other and their respective cultures. We offer students from other countries the exciting opportunity to seek and achieve academic excellence and responsible independence in a Christian educational environment. Exchange students recognize more clearly what it means to belong to a certain country and culture. Furthermore, our goal is to instill in students the dedication to high scholastic and moral standards that will light their paths throughout their lives.
What makes an exchange student different?
When someone leaves the familiar behind and plunges into the unknown, he or she is showing a commitment to understanding other people and learning about the world in a way that textbooks and assignments cannot capture. Living in another country for a year is something many people have never have the opportunity to do. This experience challenges the way a person looks at the world. Students see differences as well as similarities in people and their actions, in their beliefs and values. Students recognize more clearly what it means to belong to a certain country and culture. Students learn more about themselves as they learn about others. Exchange students develop leadership skills, self confidence, build friendships, take responsibility, and learn to respect differences and tolerate the beliefs of others.
