The Grand club

More than 40 years ago Dr. Herb Moldenhauer began a fundraising effort with a challenge to individuals to donate $1,000 to help further the ministry of our Lutheran high schools. That first year, over 50 individuals did exactly that...and more! This was the beginning of The Grand Club. Since then, through over 30 years of dedicated leadership and unfailing support for Christian education until being called Home in 2021, Rev. Dr. John Herzog drove this successful giving effort forward.   During Mr. Steve Meseke’s years as superintendent, this charitable opportunity continued to be a focus for gift-giving.  The Grand Club thrives today with many of those original members still giving!

To date, there are over 1,200 Grand Club members with over 10 million in donations, who continue to give even after their initial "grand" gift to our schools.

Any financial gift given to the Lutheran high schools is received with much appreciation. An initial gift of $1,000 is an amazing gift and members of the Grand Club have remarked that, "Once you reach that $1,000 level, the joy is immeasurable...and it doesn't stop. You just keep giving because it really becomes "Joy Giving"!

This money helps individual schools purchase academic and co-curricular equipment. Gifts may be designated for special school projects including "Angel Tuition." Many families struggle financially to send their children to LHSA schools. Gifts from Grand Club members help families afford this great opportunity to attend great schools.

Lutheran Education Foundation

The Lutheran Education Foundation has been established to provide continuous financial support to continue the vital ministry of the Lutheran High School Association (LHSA) to foster Christian secondary education. All gifts, bequests, and other property placed in the Lutheran Education Foundation shall be held in perpetuity and invested to provide both income and growth of principal.

Making a donation to the Foundation enables you to give a gift that will leave a legacy to support ministry until the Lord returns. The principal of the Fund will remain intact and up to 5% of the value of the Fund may be used each year to support and supplement the ministries of the Lutheran High School Association.
